Construction ramps up at our Warrington Services!

Following the recent announcement of construction beginning at our Warrington services development, we’re pleased to share that activity across the site continues to ramp up – marking an exciting milestone for project stakeholders and our team!

After the appointment of Glencar and Bethell in November 2025, site activity is now in full swing. Alongside Bethell Construction’s package of highway improvement works at Junction 11, Glencar has begun delivering the main amenity building and supporting infrastructure, with recent progress including:

  • Access routes and key areas starting to take shape
  • Preparation works underway for the main building
  • Early environmental works to create new habitat areas

These early stages are laying the foundations not only for the development itself, but also for its long-term environmental value. In addition to more green spaces, Warrington Services will also feature extensive electric vehicle (EV) charging facilities, including specialised E-HGV charge points, to support the local industry and accelerate the transition to a low-carbon road network.

We recently hosted a groundbreaking ceremony to showcase the progress at Warrington services. With key stakeholders, including the project team, in attendance, it was great to see momentum building on site to mark this key milestone.

Once complete, Warrington Services will provide a modern, high-quality motorway service area with a diverse mix of premium food, beverage, and retail outlets, and landscaped spaces for leisure and community engagement. Located at Junction 11 of the M62, the development will strength the region’s infrastructure, close key motorway safety gaps, and support economic growth across the North West and beyond.

With these new and exciting developments in progress, we’d like to extend a special thank you to the project teams for their ongoing support and efforts in bringing Warrington Services to life.

Warrington MSA is scheduled to open in Autumn 2027.
