Our Frequently Asked Questions from HGV drivers
We are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, ensuring that drivers have access to our facilities and services whenever they need them.
We are obliged by our operating agreements with National Highways to provide a certain number of spaces for HGV’s, a certain number for coaches and a certain number for cars.
We have clearly marked dedicated parking areas which fulfil this agreement. You must endeavour to park your HGV in a space marked for HGVs.
Parking outside of a designated space can obstruct the movement of other vehicles. Incorrect parking also causes a potential danger to other vehicles and/or pedestrians walking to and from the service buildings. In case of capacity issues, please see a member of our Extra Service team who will be happy to guide you to an alternative and safe place to park within the service area location you are visiting.

Shower facilities are available for drivers at every facility. These amenities are designed to help drivers refresh and relax during their stops at our services.
You can pay at the red payment terminals located within the amenity / food court buildings. This method is the same across all of our service areas.
Unlike at some other service operators, you cannot pay within a brand partner shop.
Yes, our fuel services are available 24/7. We offer diesel fuel at competitive prices, aiming to provide efficient refuelling options to minimise downtime for drivers.
A maintenance and repair workshop is available on-site. Equipped to handle everything from tyre repairs to engine diagnostics, our workshop ensures that drivers can address vehicle issues promptly without the need to seek services elsewhere.
Yes, we have proudly been accepting Snap account customers for over a decade. Truck drivers can pay with SNAP using the payment terminals inside the main building.

Sorry! We don’t have Tesla charging points, however, we are working with Tesla & other operators to develop new charging points at a number of our locations. As soon as we are ready to begin construction, we will be able to share more details of this.
At the moment, we’re partnered with Ionity and Gridserve to provide our electric vehicle customers with charging points of different speeds.
That is a great question and has a very complicated answer. In short, we are working hard with Charge Point operators, OZEV, The Green recovery fund, The Government, Local Government & the Distribution Network Operators (DNO’s) to bring power & the right provisions to our service are locations.
We will continue to update our information as we make progress.
Frequently Asked Questions - Lost property
For Property lost within a service area communal area, please use the ‘Contact us’ button below and complete the form.
If you have lost property within a tenant brand partner’s space, it may be easier to search for them on the internet and contact them directly, as Extra MSA group does not collate lost property found in these areas. We will, however, endeavour to help you by putting you in touch with them if required.
Frequently Asked Questions - Parking
We have ample provision at all service area locations for towing vehicles, caravans and motorhomes. The designated parking areas are all fully signposted for ease of navigation around the service areas. At peak season travel, we can occasionally exceed our provision, so you are welcome to use the larger parking bays within the coach parks.
At Baldock, there are eight bays provided, located to the right of the amenity building at the end of the coach park.
At Beaconsfield, there are 22 bays provided, located to the right of the amenity building at the bottom of the car park
At Blackburn, there are six dedicated drive-through bays at the site entrance between the filling station and amenity car park.
At Cambridge, there are 12 easy drive-through bays at the entrance to the main car parking area.
At Cullompton, there is a dedicated parking area at the entrance of the site. Turn on the 1st left, and you will find 12 bays available just before the petrol filling station
At Cobham, there are 14 easy access drive-through bays at the entrance to the main car parking area.
At Leeds Skelton Lake, there are 12 easy access drive-through bays at the end of the car park, opposite the hotel.
At Peterborough, there are 10 segregated bays located at the end of the coach parking area at the rear of the amenity building.

Parking is free for up to your first 3 hours at all of our locations. Charges apply thereafter.
You cannot leave and return within a 24 hr period to claim a further free parking session. Please note that all tariffs are ‘up to’ which means that you cannot add ‘up to’ 3 free hours to a 15 hour parking charge to make 18 hours parking. The payment kiosk and parking receipt – which must be displayed – will indicate your parking session expiry time. You can top up parking with any tariff if you need to stay longer.
Refunds are not given if you leave before your expiry time.

Everybody can pay for parking in the same way, at the payment terminals located within the amenity building / food court entrance areas.
You cannot pay over the phone, via the internet, or within a tenant brand partner retail or food outlet.
Frequently Asked Questions - Accessibility and disability
We endeavour to keep our disabled parking bays clear and free for the use of those who need them. We apologise in advance on behalf of those persons who disregard the rules of those bays. It is as frustrating for us as it is for you! We have signage & a penalty charge notice system in place that is physically non-intrusive so that we can issue notices and educate without involving our employees in difficult confrontations

Frequently Asked Questions - Dog Owners
All assistance dogs are allowed on sites and in restaurants, shops and facilities; having full access to the building. Guide dogs are a type of assistance dog; assistance dogs are trained to assist someone with a specific disability or medical condition, and they are legally allowed into public spaces with their owners. Extra Services is inclusive and we encourage owners to use our sites and feel safe and secure doing so.
Yes, we won’t turn any drivers away who need to bring their dog(s) with them in order to use
the toilet facilities inside our buildings. Please note though, dogs are not permitted inside our restaurants or retail shops.
If it’s not safe to leave your dog outside, i.e. if you are travelling alone, or it’s too hot to leave
your dog in the car, your dog will be allowed inside whilst you use our food hall seating areas.
Please keep in mind though, he/she is not be permitted inside our restaurant or retail shops.
We are lucky to have some incredible outdoor spaces at our service areas, some with walking
routes perfect for letting your dog’s stretch their legs, and all with space for
your dog to relive themselves and have a quick drink of water. Please use dog waste bins provided & pick up after your dog.
If you’re travelling alone, you can bring your dog inside the amenity building whilst you use the facilities, but please keep in mind that dogs aren’t permitted inside restaurants or retail shops.
